I’ve been a Verizon cell phone customer for many years, and have had a USB “air card” modem for some years for my laptop too.  A few month’s ago I upgraded to the 4G USB  air card because, as they state, of the “lightning” fast downloads.  It’s been very good so far, BUT we don’t have 4G service here in the Buffalo area?  I’ve called their tech support line a few times about this, it’s always connected to South Carolina and they’ve assured me that all NFL markets have 4G already but I tell them we have the Buffalo Bills and DON’T have 4G service…they don’t have an answer.  I’ve asked if they can tell when Buffalo will be connected with 4G service, they say “we’re not on the roll-out until sometime NEXT YEAR” and they can’t be specific when it will happen.  I had to laugh last week when Saratoga Springs got 4G Verizon Service, making New York City, Rochester, Elmira the 4G markets in New York State (by the way even Erie, PA has 4G service)?  The saga continues…thanks for letting me vent…I feel a whole lot better now!

The best moments of American Idol were when Simon and Paula were at each other’s throats. The singing just wasn’t enough to keep my interest.

So when Paula left, I thought the show became unwatchable. But Simon and Paula will be reunited this fall on The X Factor. And it looks like they still can’t agree on who’s talented and who isn’t.

A 2-1/2 minute preview for the show aired earlier this week on FOX during a baseball game. Had I been watching that, I would have been asleep before the first pitch and would have missed this anyways.

It’s clever and it definitely sets the tone for the series…

Seems like there is one every weekend!  Last week was the ‘Taste of Buffalo,’ starting tonight is the Italian Festival.  I love that the city has so much going on.  I hope that never stops.  I try to go to each and do somthing to help out-not that its hard, last week, judging food…this week an emcee for the Italian Idol Sunday afternoon on the main stage.  I hope to see you at one-even if the festival thing-is not your thing :)

Okay all rain-then none?  Huge stress on my garden.  Got a couple cherry tomatos, and my first cucumber!  I was so excited.  Doesn’t take much huh?  Can’t wait to get peppers and this year-tomatillos!  Salsa Verde on everything!

Enjoy your summer-you will blink and it will be over-get out and play!

If you’re bored with your ski chalet in Ellicottville you could always purchase JERRY SEINFELD’S ski lodge/home at 225 Raspberry Patch Road in Telluride, Colorado (not far from the Utah border)!  It’s a quaint 14,200 square feet, with 11 bedrooms, 12.5 bathrooms, and the lot size is 26.84 acres.  It’s listed at $18.25 million but I bet if you offered $18 million it could be yours!

Here’s a picture that Michelle Branch just posted of the sound check where she’ll be singing “God Bless America” during the 7th inning stretch at Major League Baseball’s 82nd All Star Game in Phoenix tonight.  You can catch it on FOX at 8pm.

When I lived in California (and at one point in the Mojave Desert), the sand did a number on my poor car engine. Sand made a mess of everything whenever I’d venture through the desert.

So I can’t imagine what a nightmare this was for cars, eyes, computer equipment, etc. It’s video from the massive sandstorm that hit Phoenix a few days ago.

The third video with a POV shot of driving into the sandstorm is insane!

The video for Coldplay’s latest song “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” features tons of special effects, lots of glow-in-the-dark paint, and non-stop stop-motion visuals.

It’s the next best thing to a new video from OK Go (which I’m hoping happens soon)…

Really?  I always feel like its the halfway mark of Summer.   Oh well, I’ll try not to overthink it.  Garden is so so…all I have harvested so far are Rasberries and 2 cherry tomatoes…Things are calm and quiet right now…thats a first.  House is clean, laundry done, garden groomed.   My nails done, hair done….guess I can play now..Looking forward to my first Thursday at the Square that is at the Harbor…should be a beautiful night for that!  Then maybe a stroll over to Pearl Street?

What I’m lovin’ -Silver shoes, GIANT earrings, toe rings and anything white.

As we head into summer, Fortune Magazine has published a smashing list of the things that make America great. See how many of these you agree, or disagree with, have visited, etc. I had a few problems with the list. Carlos Santana at number 19, and Disney at 78. Oye como va! Are you kidding me?
